What is LLMenu.ai?

LLMenu.ai turns your menus, hours, and business details into structured llms.txt files that AI assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity can read. When someone asks an AI for a restaurant recommendation, your business is positioned to be discovered, recommended, and ordered from.

Why do I need this if I already have a Google or Yelp listing?

Traditional listings are built for human eyes scanning a search results page. AI assistants don't browse — they parse structured data and synthesize an answer. LLMenu.ai gives the AI a clean, machine-readable version of your menu so it can confidently recommend you. Keep your existing listings; this complements them.

Is AI search really happening today?

Yes. ChatGPT has 200M+ weekly users and powers Uber Eats orders inside ChatGPT. Apple, Google, and Microsoft are integrating AI assistants into their default search experiences. The shift to AI-first discovery is happening now, not in some theoretical future.

What types of businesses can use LLMenu.ai?

Restaurants, cafes, bakeries, grocery stores, food trucks, ghost kitchens, and bars. Anyone with a menu, products, hours, and a physical or delivery presence benefits from being AI-discoverable.

Do I need a credit card for the free trial?

No. You get a full 14-day trial without entering payment information. Sign up, complete setup, and your listing goes live immediately.

What happens at the end of the trial?

Your listing stays live and visible to AI agents. To keep updating menus, syncing your POS, and accessing fresh analytics, you'll need to subscribe. Nothing is auto-charged because we don't take a card up front.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, cancel anytime from your dashboard settings. Your listing remains live in the AI ecosystem; only updates and new analytics are paused.

How is Premium pricing determined?

Premium pricing is custom and based on your number of locations, POS integrations, menu update frequency, and SLA needs. Reach out via the contact page and we'll send a quote within one business day.

Do you offer discounts for chains or non-profits?

Yes. We offer multi-location pricing and have a community plan for non-profits and student-run kitchens. Contact us with details and we'll put a proposal together.

Setup & Updates

Getting your menu in and keeping it fresh.

How long does setup take?

About 10 minutes for the typical restaurant. Upload a menu (PDF, image, spreadsheet, or POS export), confirm the parsed items, fill in hours and a short description, and your listing is live and AI-readable.

What menu file formats do you support?

PDF, JPG/PNG photos of printed menus, CSV/Excel exports, Google Doc and Word menus, and direct POS imports from Square, Toast, and Clover. We OCR images automatically and let you correct anything our model gets wrong.

Can I sync my POS so updates happen automatically?

Yes. Connect Square, Toast, or Clover from Settings → POS, and any menu, price, or availability change pushed to your POS will sync to your listing within a few hours. No manual re-uploads needed.

How do I update hours, specials, or temporary closures?

From the dashboard you can update hours, mark holidays, and post limited-time specials. Changes propagate to your llms.txt file within minutes so AI assistants see the updated info on their next fetch.

Do I need to embed anything on my website?

Optional. We host your llms.txt at llmenu.ai/listing/your-slug/llms.txt by default. If you want it served from your own domain, copy the small tracking script from Settings and add it to your site head — instructions are in the dashboard.

How AI assistants find you and what shows up in analytics.

Which AI assistants will recommend my restaurant?

We optimize for ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, and emerging AI search products. As new assistants launch, we update the llms.txt format to match — no work required from you.

What does “AI Recommendation Received” mean in my analytics?

Each row counts one time an AI assistant fetched your llms.txt file to answer a user's question. We deduplicate against follow-up fetches of the same listing so the number reflects unique recommendation events, not raw bot traffic.

Can I see which AI sent customers to me?

Yes. The Analytics page breaks down recommendations by agent — ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, etc. — so you know which AI surfaces are driving the most discovery.

How fast does new menu data show up in AI answers?

Your llms.txt updates within minutes of saving changes. Each AI assistant has its own cache: ChatGPT and Perplexity refresh within hours, while some search-style indexers can take a day or two.

Can users actually order through ChatGPT?

Yes — Uber Eats restaurant ordering is live inside ChatGPT today, and DoorDash and Instacart already power grocery ordering. Having a clean LLMenu.ai listing makes you a candidate when those AI ordering surfaces look for matching restaurants.

Privacy & Data

What we store, who can see it, and your rights.

What data does LLMenu.ai collect?

Just what you put into your listing (menu, hours, contact info, business description) plus anonymized analytics about which AI agents fetched your llms.txt. We do not collect end-user data — diners' identities never leave the AI assistant they're using.

Is my menu data shared or sold?

Never. Your menu is only made available to AI assistants through the public llms.txt URL associated with your listing. We do not sell, license, or share your data with marketing companies, third-party data brokers, or competing platforms.

Can I take my listing down at any time?

Yes. From Settings you can disable the listing — it instantly returns 404 to AI fetchers — or delete the business entirely, which permanently removes all your data from our systems within 30 days.

Are you GDPR and CCPA compliant?

Yes. We follow GDPR and CCPA principles: data minimization, owner-only RLS-protected access in Supabase, the right to access and delete, and a documented privacy policy. Contact us for a copy of our DPA if you need one.
